Job Description
Ozow is seeking a talented and passionate senior user experience designer to join our growing design team. This senior user experience designer will have a significant impact on our business as they contribute to the design direction for Ozow. Throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle, the designer will work collaboratively with a strong design team, engineers, product managers and executives.

You will

  • Provide design leadership within an autonomous Enterprise product team by collaborating with product management and engineering partners to champion exceptional customer experiences.
  • Plan, manage, execute, and communicate the design process and deliverables.
  • Facilitate design thinking workshops and sprints.
  • Proactively define requirements and solve for complex multi-channel customer experience by understanding the intersection of customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Be an advocate for customers by leading empathy research studies to understand customer needs, wants, desires, pain points, and behaviours.
  • Conceptualize interaction touchpoints and customer behaviours through personas, journey maps, user flows, user stories, mockups, prototypes, design patterns, and user interface specifications.
  • Design responsive digital experiences that are optimized for multiple device sizes.
  • Rapidly user test new prototype concepts to validate ideas and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Draft measurement plans and run live multivariate tests on new designs to gather quantitative performance data.
  • Present new design concepts, strategies, and reports to senior leadership.
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for collaboration and information sharing across related journey teams.
  • Provide training situations by sharing expertise with team members.
  • Contribute to design critiques by sharing work and providing objective feedback to other designers.
  • Raise the standard of quality by striving to improve what already exists and applying the latest proven interaction design approaches and processes.

You have

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree
  • Experienced in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centred design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles, techniques and patterns
  • Experience with designing large-scale or cloud-based products (ideally in the IoT space)
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research)
  • Experience with UX design for complex workflows for technical customers or niche userbase
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Experienced in delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
