Social Media Marketing Manager - Job Description

Introducing Ozow
Ozow is a simple, real-time EFT payment solution, that allows the consumer access to make secure, instant payments directly into a merchant's bank account. This payment gateway facilitates transactions via eCommerce, mobile, eBilling, and in-store transactions.

What we need from you?
We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the Marketing, Client Success and Sales departments. If are you able to combine marketing and social media to build and enhance our social presence on a grand scale and you are able to engage with customers while promoting brand-focused interactive content that keeps people wanting more, then you are the person we need!

Your experience within the FinTech or eCommerce industry will be advantageous but more importantly, you will need to show a track record with strong ability to thrive in a rapidly growing environment.  This role is based in Cape Town and will report to a member of the executive team.

 

 Minimum requirements to perform responsibilities

  • Degree in Communications or Marketing
  • 3-5 Years of Experience with Social Media Management, Content Creation, Copywriting, Graphic Design, Web Design, and Strategy

Job Description

  • Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, product development, and marketing
  • Provide training and guidance to the entire organization on social media implementation, best practices, and strategies
  • Collect customer data and analyze interactions and site visits and this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future SMM strategies and campaigns
  • Report progress to senior management
  • Grow and expands the company’s social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increase presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Research and monitor the activity of company competitors
  • Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page, and blog content and social media messages
